Jacqui Kotsovolos
In 2014 Jacqui was accepted into the Victorian College of the Arts Secondary School full-time dance program where she studied classical ballet, contemporary, character, jazz, acrobatics and tap.
Jacqui continued her pre-professional classical ballet training at Ballet Theatre Australia under the direction of Leeanne Rutherford and Oleg Timursin, graduating in 2018 with a Diploma of Dance (Elite Performance). During her tenure at Ballet Theatre Australia, Jacqui performed lead roles in a number of renowned ballets including La Bayadère, Paquita and Shurale.
In 2019 Jacqui travelled overseas to dance for ballet companies throughout Europe before returning to Melbourne to commence a Bachelor of Education (Honours) in Primary Education.
Jacqui has formal experience in RAD syllabus and Vaganova ballet style. Her educational background, including the RAD Certificate in Ballet Teaching studies, Progressing Ballet Technique Certification, Acrobatic Arts Module 1 teaching certification, and Makeup Artistry training, demonstrates her holistic approach to teaching dance. Jacqui not only values her own growth but also enjoys mentoring trainee teachers within TDLD.
Her passion for sharing knowledge and creating a positive impact on her students aligns with her dedication to education and the arts.
