Pre-School Classes
Tiny Ballet
Developed for children aged 2 ½ to 5, this syllabus teaches the magic of mime and dance through creativity. Loosely based on classical ballet it incorporates improvisation, mime, creativity, and coordination. There are 3 levels:
- Pre-Kinder; for students age 2.5 – 3.5 who are not yet at Kinder
- 3 year old Kinder; for students in 3 year old Kinder
- 4 year old Kinder; for students in 4 year old Kinder
What to expect in your Tiny Ballet class?
- learn to jump, hop, skip, spin, balance, leap, gallop
- work on coordination of arms and legs
- learn the basics of ballet – positions of the feet and arms, and names of movements/steps
- learn first position, second position, classical walks, pliés, tendus, arabesque, etc
- learn dance through imaginative play (exercises with mermaids, princesses, fairies, etc)
- gentle introduction to rhythm and movement quality
- learn to take turns, form a line, make a circle, follow the leader, and more!
Tiny Jazz
This fun, fast dance class is designed for children in 3 and 4 year old Kinder. It incorporates all the latest music trends loved by pre-schoolers and is a lovely introduction to the jazz style of dance. Tiny Jazz is great for rhythm and coordination.
What to expect in your Tiny Jazz class?
– dance to pop music
– upbeat high energy class
– work on coordination
– learn jumps, hops, skips, leaps, kicks, turns
– dancing with props (hoops, Pom poms, maracas)
– learn skills that we put into routines
– play dance games!
– learn to take turns, form a line, make a circle, follow the leader, and more!
Tiny Acro
Learn the basics of acrobatics in a fun and safe way. For students age 4 – 5years. Based on the Acrobatic Arts preschool syllabus.
What to expect in your Tiny Acro class?
- Learn basic acrobatic skills
- Forward rolls
- Bunny hops
- Cartwheels
- Backbends
- Stretching
- Learn to take turns, form a line, follow the leader and more!
- All classes are conducted using acrobatic mats
Tiny Tap
Tiny Tap is designed for children in 3 and 4 year old Kinder. This class is a fun introduction to the tap style of dance. Tiny Tap is great for rhythm and coordination. Tap shoes are required for this class.
What to expect in your Tiny Tap class?
– dance to upbeat music
– work on coordination
– work on rhythm
– learn basic tap skills – forward taps, backward taps, shuffles, ball heels and more!
– learn skills that we put into routines
– play dance games!
– learn to take turns, form a line, make a circle, follow the leader, and more!
