Examinations & Class Awards

R.A.D. Ballet students are able to sit for a Royal Academy of Dance Examination or Class Award. All Class Award or Examination students receive a report, certificate and medal.

Examinations and Class Awards are by no means compulsory.  Students wishing to sit for the external R.A.D. Ballet Examinations must attend a minimum of two ballet classes per week from Grade 1 and above to qualify.

The Principal, in conjunction with the Teachers, then determines each student’s suitability for entry to the Examination or Class Award.
